I've heard that it takes about 8 weeks to really recover from the surgery.
Are you allowed to gradually start doing some of your normal activities after 3 weeks, or areyou required to wait f for the full 8 weeks to pass?

Eight weeks! Gosh! I've just read a post that it takes only 3 weeks. I was relieved when I read that. Geez.

all surgeries no matter how minor should take some time to rest before one may be able to go back to what she used to do. but nowadays, it doesnt take much time anymore. So long as you have been religious in taking all the necessary medications and care, healing wont take that long.

Three weeks probably refers to your being able to move about without taking pain pills. It isn't saying that you are done healing, though.
It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to completely heal from ANY surgery.
